Newton System 500 membranes are suitable for use on pitched roofs where turf or other foliage is grown. It has been used extensively in Scandinavian countries and in certain parts of the UK. The membrane acts as a barrier stopping water from penetrating the building fabric whilst trapping water in its 8mm or 20mm studs. Airflow circulation is achieved between the original roofing structure and the membrane. It is 100% waterproof and resistant to all chemicals normally found in soil.
